West of town to Mystic, south of town slate creek, north to Minnesota Ridge, east to the dam's face, this area has a lot of history. Railroads, gold, moonshining, county seat, and the tales of pioneering and hopes. The SCHS focuses on preserving the history of these areas. Why? Because we enjoy it and because no one else is doing it.
