September 12, 2010 - The grand opening of the new addition to the Silver City Fire Station was held. Watch the video or read the

July 9-11th, 2010 - It was a busy weekend as the SCVFD hosted the annual pie-and-ice cream social/volksmarch and plein air events!

June 13, 2010- Adopt-highway road cleanup. Clean-up from Silver City to Hwy 385. Fourteen volunteers showed up. It was wet, it was
cold, it was slippery, but we got'er done!
May 22, 2010 - Memorial day services were held at the Silver City cemetery. The memorial was well attended. It was a beautiful
spring day. On the same day, a memorial tree was planted in memory of Rawleigh Brennick. A crabapple was planted
behind the community hall. There are now seven memorial trees planted around town.
May 22, 2010 - Long-time resident Morry Crow celebrated his 90th birthday. The cake
was decorated with sugary spruce branches and pine cones.
May 1, 2010 - On a cold morning volunteers got together for the annual Cemetery clean-up.
April 10, 2010 - New logos selected for firefighters and merchandise.
April 8, 2010 - Forest Service issues final Travel Management Plan. Thanks to the hard work and involvement of Silver City residents for
the last two years, the Forest Service has generally mitigated the impact of motorized travel through and around Silver City.

December 19, 2009 - Cell phones ringing? Yes, we now have cell phone signal in Silver City. Residents' reactions to this technological
advance is very mixed.
October 4, 2009 - First big snow of the year. 6.5" of heavy snow takes down trees and leaves town without power. (pictures)

1st Annual Softball Game - A community softball game was played on Labor Day with hot dogs, lemonade, and lots of dogs running
around. (pictures)
August 19, 2009 Primal Quest, the toughest human endurance race in the world, rolled into town. (See pictures).
